Rocket manufacturer Unastella secures an Australian launch site, one step closer to completing launch vehicle technology

[The Guru=Hong Sung-il, Reporter] The domestic rocket engine manufacturing startup Unastellar has succeeded in securing a launch site in Australia. Unastellar aims to perfect its space launch vehicle technology through repeated testing.  

Australian rocket launch site service company 'Southern Launch' said on the 15th (local time) that it had signed a rocket launch contract with Unastellar. The signing ceremony took place in Seoul on the 12th. The two companies will begin work to obtain regulatory approval from the Australian Space Agency.

Unastellar, founded in 2022, is a space launch vehicle startup that has attracted about 10 billion won in investment to date. Since its founding, Unastellar has focused on research for launch vehicle development, including basic engine design, construction of a combustor test facility, engine design and manufacturing, combustion performance testing, completion of test site facilities, and production of an electric motor pump.
