[Press Release] Unastella plans to incorporate key technologies from the Ministry of Science and ICT’s ‘Space Pioneer Project’ into its in-house developed launch vehicle

[Notice] UNASTELLA to integrate the key technology from the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) Space Pioneer Program into its launch vehicle.

ㅇ On November 21st, Unastella solidified its pivotal role in the ‘Space Pioneer Program’ by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), a collaborative initiative spearheaded by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and the Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea (MSIT). ㅇ Under the MoU, Unastella is integrating cutting-edge technologies into its inaugural launch vehicle, currently in development. The company is incorporating 'Avionics Technology for Microlauncher' from Danam Systems Inc. and 'Inter-stage Umbilical Connection Technology' from Hanyang ENG Co., Ltd.

ㅇ The signing ceremony witnessed the participation of key suppliers, including NDT Engineering & Aerospace Co., Ltd., Danam Systems Co., Ltd., and Hanyang ENG Co., Ltd. Unastella is one of the industry players collaborating with suppliers, alongside three others: InnoSpace Co., Ltd., Hanwha Aerospace Co., Ltd., and Korean Air.

ㅇ The overarching objective of the Space Pioneer Program is to cultivate 16 essential technologies with a concentrated focus on the industrial sector. The initiative aims to localize components within the space industry, thereby mitigating the sector's reliance on foreign sources.
