Unas Stella, developing a crewed space launch vehicle, raises 19.5 billion won in Series A funding

(Seoul=News1) Reporter Lee Jeong-hoo = Unastella, South Korea's first private crewed launch vehicle startup, announced on the 25th that it had secured a Series A investment worth 19.5 billion won. With this, cumulative investment has reached 28 billion won.

Eleven venture capital firms participated in this investment round. Existing investors △Hana Ventures △Strong Ventures △Base Investment △InterValue Partners △Daekyo Investment △Astone Ventures participated in the follow-on round, while △HB Investment (440290) △SBI Investment (019550) △Woori Venture Partners △Samho Green Investment △KDB Capital joined as new investors.

Unastella, founded in February 2022, aims to provide suborbital space travel services by developing a launch vehicle capable of crewed spaceflight up to an altitude of 100 km. To this end, it is designing and developing its own engine based on an electric motor pump cycle engine system.
